Privacy Policy

Sekki (the "app") treats your personal information with care and follows applicable laws. This policy explains what the app collects and how it is used, stored, and deleted.

1. Information We Collect

Item	Details
Account identifier	There is no separate sign-up or login. If your device is signed in to iCloud, a random user identifier that Apple CloudKit issues for this app only is used as your account for friend features. This identifier does not reveal your Apple Account email or name.
Profile	Your friend code (six random characters) and the "name shown to friends" that you enter
Your entries	Meal and workout photos (before and after), notes, and the date, time, and meal of each entry. They are stored on your device. While "Share My Meals" is on and you're signed in to iCloud, they are uploaded to the app's CloudKit public database so your friends can see them (photos are resized to 1024 px on the long side). "Share My Meals" is on at first, and you can turn it off in Settings > Account & Sharing.
Friends, groups, and cheers	Friend requests and your friend list, the names and members of groups you create or join, and the cheer comments and nudges you send and receive, with the author's name
Notifications	When a friend leaves a cheer or posts an entry, you're notified through Apple push notifications (CloudKit subscriptions). Meal reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device.
Feedback you send	Sent only when you use "Send Feedback" in Settings. It includes the type you choose and what you write, along with the app version, iOS version, device model, and device language. Your name and email are included only if you enter them so we can reply. You can read the developer's reply inside the app.
Anonymous usage stats and error reports	To understand how many people use the app and to fix bugs, the app sends the following anonymous stats to the developer's Apple iCloud (CloudKit) storage, viewable only by the developer: A random ID created at install (not linked to you, your Apple ID, your device, your friend account, or other apps, and it changes if you reinstall) App version, iOS version, and region and language settings How many times and on which days you opened the app, the install date, and days since install The names of things that happen in the app (for example, a satisfaction question or review request was shown, the subscription screen was opened, a purchase was started, completed, or canceled) and the product type. No payment information or entry content is included Diagnostic reports when the app freezes or quits unexpectedly (device model and technical details of the error) These stats never include your name, contacts, location, or your photos and notes. They are sent only when you're signed in to iCloud.
Payments	Subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple (App Store). The app does not collect card numbers or other payment details.

Food analysis runs entirely on your device with Apple Vision. Your photos are never sent anywhere for analysis.
Photo library: if you turn on "Save to Photos Automatically", your photos are also saved to the Sekki albums in the Photos app.

2. How We Use It

To save and show your meal and workout entries
To share entries with friends and groups, and to let you send and receive cheers and nudges
To send meal reminders and let you know when a cheer or a friend's entry arrives
To offer the Sekki Pro subscription and lifetime purchase
To reply to the feedback you send and improve the app
To understand usage and fix bugs through anonymous stats

3. Retention and Deletion

Entries stored on your device are deleted when you delete the app.
When you delete a day's entry in the app, the shared copy is deleted from the server too.
Data on the server is deleted when you delete your account (in the app: Friends > Account > Delete Account). Your friend code and name, the meal and workout entries you shared, the cheers you left, your friend connections, your group memberships and the groups you created, and your notification subscriptions are deleted and can't be recovered.
If you'd like any remaining data deleted, contact us below and we'll take care of it promptly.

4. Third Parties and Processors

The app never sells your personal information and does not use advertising or third-party analytics services. The following services process data to provide the app:

5. Your Rights

You can turn off "Share My Meals" in Settings at any time. Entries made after that are not uploaded.
You can delete your server data yourself by deleting your account.

6. Children

The app is not intended for children under 14 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, we'll post the update on this page, and we'll let you know in the app about any significant changes.
