Privacy Policy

Rainbow of Desire (the app) is a local-first app with no server of its own. This document explains what the app handles, where it stores it, and what it does not do.

1. What is not collected

The app does not collect any of the following.

• Account or contact details such as your name, email address, or phone number
• Location
• Advertising identifiers or tracking data
• Usage analytics (except the anonymous statistics in section 6, if you turn them on)
• Other data on your device, such as contacts, photos, or calendars

There is no sign-up and no login.

2. What you write

To do its job, the app stores what you type on your device.

• Events (title, color, span, repeating weekdays, hours per day, importance)
• To-dos and their steps (title, how it was judged, estimated time, whether it is finished, order)
• To-do categories (name, color, symbol)
• Anything shared in from another app (the title and the judgment you picked)

This data is used only to run the app. It is never sent to the developer or given to anyone else.

3. Where it is stored

Everything is stored on your device through Apple’s SwiftData. If you are signed in to iCloud, it is stored in your own private iCloud database (container iCloud.com.devkoan.ScheduleDensity) and syncs automatically between devices on the same iCloud account.

Storage and transfer through iCloud are governed by Apple’s privacy policy. The developer cannot reach your private iCloud database.

The list shown in Home and Lock Screen widgets is written separately into an app group area on the device. That file never leaves the device. Anything shared in from another app also waits briefly in the same area until the app picks it up.

4. When you share with someone

If you use sharing, whoever receives the invite link you created can see that list or those events. You alone decide what is shared and with whom, and when you stop sharing they can no longer see it.

Anyone holding an invite link can join, so send it only to the people you mean to include. Sharing uses Apple’s CloudKit sharing as-is; the developer does not hold your data in between.

5. When you send feedback

If you send a question or feedback to the developer from Settings, what you wrote at that moment and your app version are sent to an iCloud container the developer runs (iCloud.com.Ysoup.FeedbackHub). It is used only to answer you and to fix the app.

This happens only when you tap send yourself. Nothing is sent automatically while you use the app. If you write by email, that address is used only to reply.

6. Anonymous usage statistics (optional, off by default)

If you turn on Also send anonymously to the developer under Settings > Usage stats, numbers, plus a few events recorded as fixed words, about how you use the app are sent to an iCloud container the developer runs (iCloud.com.Ysoup.FeedbackHub). This is off by default, and nothing is sent unless you turn it on.

What is sent

• Days opened in a row, days opened in the last 30, number of launches, days since install
• Number of to-dos, number split into steps, average number of steps when splitting
• Finish rates (including split and unsplit counted separately)
• Number of categories, total hours written down, share held by the largest category
• App version, OS version, device kind (iOS/macOS), language setting
• What happened on the ‘Rainbow Pro’ screen — that you saw it, which locked feature you came from (widgets, statistics, and so on), that you started a purchase, whether it completed, and if it did not, whether the reason was cancellation, awaiting approval, or an error, and whether you tapped restore and got it back. These are all words the app chose in advance; no payment method, receipt, or amount is sent. Apple handles payment, and the developer cannot see it.
• Whether you currently have ‘Rainbow Pro’ — a single value indicating yes or no. It does not include which product you bought, when, or for how much. It is used to see how people on the free version and people who purchased use the app differently, and nothing is sent before your purchase status has been checked.

What is not sent

• Every word you wrote — to-do titles, event names, category names
• The dates and times of your events
• Your name, email, Apple Account, device identifier, advertising identifier, or location
• Payment methods, card details, receipts, or amounts paid

Who sent it is distinguished only by a random number (UUID) created when the app was installed. That number is not tied to an Apple Account or a device identifier, cannot be matched against any other app or service, and disappears when you delete the app. Sending happens no more than once or twice a day.

You can turn it off at any time under Settings > Usage stats. Sending stops immediately, and the record of which days you opened the app, kept on the device, is deleted along with it. If you want anonymous figures that were already sent to be deleted, write to the email address below.

7. Keeping and deleting

Data is kept until you delete it or remove the app.

• You can delete individual items inside the app.
• Deleting the app removes the data stored on that device.
• Data synced to iCloud can be managed or deleted on your device under Settings, Apple Account, iCloud, Manage Storage.
• If you want feedback you sent to be deleted, write to the email address below.

8. Children’s privacy

The app is not directed at children, and it does not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the law or the app changes. If something important changes, it will be announced on this page and the last-updated date above will be revised.
