In short: ZinggumDol has no accounts and never sends the content of your records to the developer. Your records stay on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud. There are no ads, no tracking across other apps or websites, and no use of the advertising identifier (IDFA).

1. Your records

Your goals, what happened, how you felt, what you'll try next and your replies to the pebble are stored on your device (Apple SwiftData). If iCloud is on, they're also kept in your own private iCloud storage so they sync across devices signed in to the same Apple Account. No one else, including the developer, can read them.

2. Voice input and tidying

When you speak a note, the app uses the microphone and speech recognition. Recognition happens on your device; recordings are never saved, and only the transcribed text is kept. The feature that tidies what you said uses Apple Intelligence on your device, so nothing is sent out. If you don't grant these permissions, you can simply type instead.

3. Anonymous usage statistics

To understand how the app is actually used, it sends the following anonymous statistics to the developer's iCloud (CloudKit) storage:

App version, platform (iOS) and OS version, language and region setting, number of launches, install date and days since install, and when you last used the app
Counts such as the number of goals, the number of records and how many days in a row you've written
The kind of action and when it happened, such as "left a record", "created a goal", "finished a conversation with the pebble" or "opened the app today"
Whether the ZinggumDol Pro purchase screen was shown, and whether a purchase or restore was started or completed

The content of your records is never sent. The statistics contain no name, email or device identifier, and are grouped only by a random install ID that has nothing to do with your device or account. Deleting and reinstalling the app creates a new one.

You can turn this off at any time in Settings ▸ Usage statistics in the app. Once it's off, none of the above is sent.

4. Sending feedback

If you write to us from Settings ▸ Send Feedback, the following is stored in the developer's iCloud (CloudKit) storage so we can reply and look into the issue: your message and its category, your name and email if you enter them, and the app version, device model, OS version and language setting. Nothing is sent unless you send feedback.

5. Features that stay on your device

Reminders: When you turn on reminders, a notification is scheduled on your device for the time you choose. No server is involved.
Widget: The pebble's message on your Home Screen widget is passed only between the app and the widget on the same device.
Passcode lock: Your app passcode is stored only on your device and is never sent anywhere.
Exporting records: The exported text file is created on your device and goes only where you choose to share it.

6. In-app purchase

ZinggumDol Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple handles the payment, and the developer never receives your payment details. The app only checks on your device whether you've made the purchase.

7. Keeping and deleting your data

Deleting the app deletes the records on your device. Records synced to iCloud can be removed in your device's Settings ▸ Apple Account ▸ iCloud by deleting this app's data.

8. Children's privacy

The app is not directed at children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
