Need a hand with MyFi?

How to use MyFi

1. Share your Wi-Fi

The network you are connected to is detected automatically. Enter the password once and tap Make QR code. Anyone can join without typing the password by pointing the built-in camera of their iPhone or Android phone at the code.

2. Join Wi-Fi from a photo

Tap Camera or Photos and choose a photo of a Wi-Fi sign. MyFi reads the network name and password and fills them in. Tap Connect this phone to join.

3. Reuse saved networks

Networks you join or share are saved automatically. Tap a network to open its QR code and details, swipe right to join it, or swipe left to share its QR code. Touch and hold a network to make a guest sign or delete it.

Frequently asked questions

Can other people see my Wi-Fi password?

The QR code contains standard Wi-Fi sign-in details. Only the people you share it with can use it, and you always decide whether to share it.

Why do I have to type the password?

For security reasons, iOS does not let any app read the Wi-Fi passwords stored on the device. So you enter the password once when you share a network. After that it is saved and ready to reuse.

Connecting does not work in the Simulator.

Joining Wi-Fi networks works only on a real iPhone. The iOS Simulator does not support it.

The name or password in my photo was read incorrectly.

Move closer and take a sharper photo for better results. You can always correct the name and password before connecting.
