Automatic recording only works when iOS location permission is set to "Always". Go to Settings → Buktu Buktu → Location and choose "Always". Also, visit detection records a place only after you've stayed there for a while and then moved on, so entries may not appear right away. To save one immediately, use the ➕ button at the top right of the map screen.

It is not sent to the developer. Footprints, diary entries, and photos are stored only on your device and in your own personal iCloud (so your records follow you when you change devices). The developer cannot see any of it. All the app sends to the developer is anonymous counts, such as how far you've walked or how many diary entries you've written, and not a single coordinate is sent. Separately, Apple's maps and geocoding services are used to turn coordinates into place names. For details, see the Privacy Policy.

The app uses motion data to record mainly walking and running, and tries to leave out stretches that look like travel by vehicle. Depending on the situation, there may be some errors.

Your records are stored on your device and in your own iCloud. Sign in with the same Apple account on the new device and keep iCloud turned on, and your footprints, diary, and photos carry over.

You can delete individual footprints by tapping a footprint marker or the list on the map screen, and diary entries from the diary screen. Deleting the app deletes all of its data along with it.
