A workbook that goes beyond reading about UI/UX: you use a screen that breaks a guideline, write down what felt off, then compare it with the rule. It includes 23 lessons, 68 annotated topics, 100 common mistakes, 7 principles, 5 labs, and quizzes. The whole app is available in English, Japanese, and Korean.

FAQ

Do I need an account or an internet connection?

No. Everything is built into the app and works offline. You only need a connection to open reference links.

Where are my study notes stored?

Only on your device; they are never sent anywhere. From the Notes tab you can copy them as text or export them as a Markdown file.

I reinstalled the app and my progress is gone.

Progress and notes live only on your device, so deleting the app removes them too. Export your notes from the Notes tab before you delete the app.

The "Try it" screen feels awkward. Is that a bug?

The screen you use in the first step of each lesson breaks the guideline on purpose. Feeling the friction yourself is the point, and the third step reveals what was broken. If something still looks wrong in the Compare step, please let us know.

The text is too large or too small.

The app follows your iOS text size. Adjust it in Settings › Display & Brightness › Text Size. Light and Dark Mode also follow your system setting.

What is free and what is paid?

3 lessons, 10 mistakes, the toolbar lab, the first quiz chapter, the 68 topics, the 7 principles, and your notes are free. A weekly subscription, monthly subscription, or lifetime purchase unlocks the rest of the lessons, mistakes, labs, and quizzes. The lifetime purchase is charged only once.

How do I cancel a subscription?

Go to Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions on your iPhone. You can also tap Manage Subscription at the top of the app's Settings. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next charge; you keep access until the period ends.

I have used the app for a while. Do I need to pay?

No. If you installed the app with version 1.0.2 or earlier, you keep everything with no purchase. You will see Pro active at the top of Settings.

My purchase is missing on a new device.

Sign in with the same Apple Account, then tap Learn tab › Settings (top right) › Restore Purchases. The same button is also at the bottom of the purchase screen.

Can I use it on iPad?

Not at the moment. The app is iPhone only, because the labs recreate an iPhone screen in portrait.
