How do I add the keyboard?

Go to Settings ▸ General ▸ Keyboard ▸ Keyboards ▸ Add New Keyboard and choose Malmun Keyboard. While typing, tap the globe key to switch to it. Full Access isn't needed.

Can I show fewer phrases on the keyboard?

Tap the keyboard icon at the bottom right of the home screen ▸ Manage keyboard. Turn phrases off one by one, or turn them all off and switch back on only the ones you want.

I can't see a scenario my friend shared.

Sharing with friends runs on iCloud, so both of you need to be signed in to iCloud. If it still doesn't show up, fully close the app and open it again.

How do I change the language I'm learning?

Tap the flag at the top of the home screen. My phrases, your own scenarios and vocabulary are kept separately for each language.

How do I use it in the car?

Connect your phone to the car over Bluetooth or CarPlay, open Commute Mode and press play. Sound comes through the car speakers and the current sentence appears in Now Playing. The steering-wheel next, previous and play buttons skip ahead, replay and pause. There's no separate Malmun screen in CarPlay.

You can also say "Start commute practice in Malmun" to Siri. Set up a one-time automation in the Shortcuts app ▸ Automation that runs Start commute practice when CarPlay (or your car's Bluetooth) connects, and practice starts as soon as you get in.

Can I control it by voice?

Yes. After the chime, during your turn, say next, again, slower, faster, next scene or stop. Commands are spoken in the app's display language. When you say the line correctly, you'll hear "Nice!". The microphone only listens during your turn, and what it hears is processed on your device.

My pronunciation isn't being recognized.

Speech recognition runs in the language you're learning. Try a quieter place, and check that speech recognition for that language is downloaded on your device.

What's free and what needs Pro?

Only two things need Malmun Pro: the situational dialogues beyond basics and everyday chat (restaurants, getting around, airport, hotel, shopping, sightseeing, emergencies), and more than 3 Commute Mode scenes a day. Everything else is free. Malmun Pro is a yearly subscription or a lifetime purchase.

How do I cancel or get a refund?

Payments are handled by Apple. To cancel, go to Settings ▸ Apple Account ▸ Subscriptions ▸ Malmun on your iPhone. For a refund, contact Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

I got a new phone and Pro is gone.

Sign in with the same Apple Account, then in Malmun go to Settings ▸ Malmun Pro ▸ Restore Purchase.

How do I change the app's language?

Go to iPhone Settings ▸ Malmun ▸ Language. Malmun is available in English, Korean, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Spanish and Indonesian.
